Coffee Star Induction Srl was born from the partnership between Sweet Coffee Italia - a leading company in the construction of coffee roasting machines - and Ferrari & Carena - a world leader in the fields of fine blanking and thermoinduction. The real architects of the project were: Mario Di Santo and Gregorio Milella.Thanks to the know-how acquired on the design and manufacture of electromagnetic induction heating systems, "COFFEE STAR INDUCTION srl" is involved in the development and production of induction coffee roasting machines with the following production capacities: 2 kg , 6-8 kg , 26-30 kg , 60 kg , 120 kg through its Sweet Coffee Italia brand.

Electrically heated drum roasters are physically considered slow compared to gas-powered machines. Contextualising, 'slow' means that the roasting curve does not rise fast enough after the 'turning point'.This phenomenon occurs because the temperature supplied to the electrically heated drum is too low, so that it is impossible to follow the roasting curve specified by the roaster in order to achieve consistent and uniform roasting repeatability from batch to batch, which is essential when roasting coffee.The study of this new coffee roasting system came about in order to eliminate the limiting points of the well-known gas technology.

At the heart of innovation is the 'temperature curve of the beans', which is why Sweet Coffee Italia has developed and designed a machine that can achieve better results than a gas machine by exploiting known physics.

The targeted control and exploitation of these phenomena by the system designed and built by the company makes the roasting machines capable of cutting energy consumption by up to and over 60% and guaranteeing an homogenous temperature distribution.

The speed of reaching the set working temperature, the stability of maintenance and the absence of overshoots guarantee maximum precision of the process temperature. The Gemma IND roaster line can be used in a similar way to gas roasters, providing identical roasting results with more refined temperature control.
